Brand graphic card: Engagement sessions — Length 90 minutes, Delivery 14 days, Frames Twenty

u003cpu003eAn engagement session is the least examined part of most wedding plans, and quietly one of the most useful. It is two hours where nothing is at stake, nobody is waiting on you, and you find out how you behave in front of a camera before the day when it actually counts.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eThat last part is the real argument for it. Almost nobody is naturally comfortable being photographed. Being photographed for the first time in a gown, on a schedule, with a hundred and twenty people waiting, is a difficult place to learn.u003c/pu003enu003ch3u003eWhen to book itu003c/h3u003enu003cpu003eAnywhere from three to nine months before the wedding works well. Far enough out that you are not competing with everything else on your list, close enough that hair, weight and general life have not changed much.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eIf you want the images for save the dates, work backwards from when those need to post and add three weeks. Galleries land within fourteen days, but stationery has its own timeline and it is never as short as people expect.u003c/pu003enu003ch3u003eTwo locations, deliberately differentu003c/h3u003enu003cpu003eA session runs two hours, which is comfortably enough for two locations if they are near each other. I usually push for contrast rather than variety for its own sake.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eOne with architecture and one with water is the combination that gives a gallery genuine range.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eThe Design District or Coral Gables for structure, shade and clean backgrounds Key Biscayne, Matheson Hammock or the Fort Lauderdale beachfront for open sky and water Coconut Grove if you want canopy and green, which photographs completely differently to either Where each of those works best, and which need a permit, is on the individual Coral Gables, Key Biscayne and Coconut Grove pages.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eWhat to wear, and what not tou003c/pu003enu003cpu003eBring two looks, and make one of them something you would genuinely wear. The most successful engagement frames are rarely the most formal ones. A dressed up version of your normal self reads as you; a costume reads as a costume, and you will see it immediately in the gallery.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eCoordinate rather than match. If one of you is in a strong color, the other stays quieter. Solid fabrics photograph better than busy patterns against Miami backgrounds, which already have plenty going on. The fabric advice from the u003ca href=u0022https://miamibridalphotos.com/what-to-wear-for-your-miami-bridal-portrait-session/u0022u003ebridal session guideu003c/au003e applies here too: things that move beat things that hold their shape.u003c/pu003enu003ch3u003eThe timing is the same as everything elseu003c/h3u003enu003cpu003eWe shoot the ninety minutes into sunset and usually a little past it. South Florida gives up its light quickly and the fifteen minutes after the sun has gone are often the best part of the session, which is the same argument I make about the golden hour here.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003ePractically that means a weekday evening is easier than a weekend one. Locations are quieter, parking is possible, and nobody is walking through the back of the frame.u003c/pu003enu003ch3u003eWhat it costsu003c/h3u003enu003cpu003eAn engagement session on its own is $550 for two hours across two locations, with 40 edited images and your gallery inside fourteen days.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eIt is also included at no extra cost in the Full Day and Full Day and Album collections, which is deliberate. I would rather have met you and worked with you once before your wedding than turn up on the morning as a stranger with a camera.
